The Committee to whom the Executive Committee on the Paris Exhibition referred the selection of the Prize Essays on Canada submit the following Report: The Committee have received from the Secretary nineteen Essays, eighteen Of which have been carefully considered, but the nineteenth is so illegibly written that it has been quite impossible to decipher it, without an amount of time and pains, which the several Members of the Committee have been unable to give.
